July 2012- We really started talking about and researching adoption. We felt like God was telling us now is the time to do this!
September 9- We submitted our pre-application to American World Adoption. We received an email back saying that we qualified for the Honduras program.
September 10- We received a phone call saying we also qualified for the Ethiopia program. We feel like God is definitely leading us to this country.
September 22- We submitted the first "formal" application.
October 5- We were accepted into AWAA'S ethiopia progam.
December 11- Mailed our adoption agreement and our first $2,500.00 check :) Merry Christmas to us!
December 12- Completed our 10 hours of Hague Adoption Training.
January 28- Met with our social worker for the first time. The first of four meetings. Jeremy and I both went.
February 11- I (Abby) had a second meeting with Sandy (our social worker)
February 19- Jeremy had his meeting (third meeting) with Sandy
Feburary 27- We had our fourth and final meeting with Sandy
April 3- Mailed our homestudy to USCIS
May 6- Had our USCIS fingerprinting appt.
June 21- Mailed our dossier to AWAA. :) (we should be on the waiting list soon)
July 5- We are DTE. (Dossier to Ethiopia). This means we are officially on the waiting list!!
